Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim

Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim met on Monday with a number of leaders of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) working in the human rights field.
The meeting comes within the framework of the ministry's appreciation for their role in serving society causes and their active participation in the political life.
During the meeting, Ibrahim reviewed the latest developments Egypt is going through and their impact on security.
He noted that the ministry is facing huge challenges during the current period, stressing sacrifices offered by policemen to maintain security and stability in the country.
Asked about the ministry's stance on calls for protests on November 28, Ibrahim stressed his ministry's keenness on ensuring the right to the freedom of expression in line with the constitution, law and international conventions.
He added that all forms of law violation will be decisively handled, stressing that policemen are committed to not use force unless strictly necessary.
