Egypt's Grand Mufti Dr Shawki Allam greeted President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Defense Minister Sedqi Sobhi and the Egyptian nation on the occasion of Sinai Liberation Day.

In press statements from Paris, Allam said that the Armed Forces exerted utmost efforts to liberate Sinai from the Israeli occupation.

He, meanwhile, said that the Armed Forces protect Egypt and its people from extremist groups and terrorism.

The Armed Forces have a special place in the hearts of Egyptians, he added.

Enemies inside and outside the country seek to target the Armed Forces, he said, adding that he has confidence that the Egyptian army is capable of confronting those saboteurs.
