Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, currently visiting Iraq, will hold official talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Heider Abadi and Vice President Osama el-Nujaifi on the current situation in the country.
Shoukry will hold talks with his Iraqi counterpart Ibrahim el-Jaafari on ways of facing terrorist organizations and the development of the political process, Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Badr Abdel Aati said on Wednesday.
Shoukry will also hold talks with Finance Minister Hoshiar Zebari and head of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council Amar el-Hakim, the spokesman said.
Talks will cover the role of the Egyptian companies in the development of Iraq, the Syrian crisis, the Palestinian issue and the war on terrorism in light of the current international efforts to face it.
Shoukry will reiterate Egypt's keenness on preserving the integrity of Iraqi lands and the importance of engaging all different parties in the political process.
Shoukry arrived here earlier in the day on his second visit to Iraq since assuming post.
