The High elections committee decided during a meeting under Judge Ayman Abbas on Wednesday suspending a previous decision calling on voters to elect their representatives at the house of representatives and relevant decisions.
The committee spokesman counselor Omar Marawan said the committee decided to inform the courts of first instance to keep the papers applied by the candidates until another decision is issued.
He said the committee decided drawing up a timetable for holding the elections after the end of the necessary legislative amendments upon a verdict by the constitutional court.
