The Egyptian Embassy in Amman urged Egyptian nationals in Jordan to cast their votes in the first phase of the 2015 parliamentary elections, Egyptian Ambassador to Jordan Khaled Tharwat.
In a press release on Sunday, Tharwat said the elections will be held in the embassy headquarters in Amman and consulate in Aqaba on Saturday and Sunday as well as the runoff on October 26-27 starting from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.
All Egyptian expatriates are welcomed to cast their votes in the parliamentary elections in which they have to present their ID or passport and a document that shows that the voter is living in Jordan.
He also urged all voters to visit the website (www.elections.eg) as soon as possible to find out all information and measures needed concerning the elections process.
Parliamentary elections are the second to be held in Egypt after the January 25 Revolution.
The second phase starts on 21–22 November for Egyptians abroad and 22–23 November for Egyptians in Egypt.
The governorates included in the first phase are: Giza, Fayyoum, Beni Suef, Minya, Assiut, New Valley, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan, Red Sea, Alexandria, Beheira and Matrouh.
