An extraordinary meeting will be held at the Arab foreign ministers' level at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo next Sunday.

Assistant secretary general Ahmed ben Helli said in statements Monday that the secretariat received an official memo from the Saudi permanent representative to the league calling for holding an extraordinary meeting to condemn Iran's interference in the Arab countries' affairs and the attacks on the Saudi diplomatic missions in the Iranian capital Tehran and the city of Mashahad.

Bin Helli added that the Arab countries agreed to the request of the Saudi delegate and decided to hold the meeting on Sunday.
