The director of dredging operations in the new Suez Canal project described the project as a great success.

In statements to MENA on Wednesday, engineer Wagdy Zaki said the project has been fulfilled in the time set by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, pointing out that the project will achieve the economic development the country needs.

He added that all dredgers left the project site after completing the dredging process except seven ones in the lakes area.

Zaki added that the process of coating the sides of new canal with rocks have been completed.
