The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has discussed with its partners in Yemen the delivery of the last phase of the Sheikh Khalifa City for the victims of the floods in Hadramaut.

The last phase consists of 607 residential units at a cost of AED110 million, which includes 204 housing units for those affected in Al Mukalla.

The ERC has delivered 403 residential units for beneficiaries in Hadramaut Valley.

In a press release, it emphasised that this vital project translates the attention given by the wise leadership to enhance development and reconstruction efforts in Yemen. It also said that it is keen on adopting the pioneering and ambitious projects in various health, educational, residential and services fields and contributing to rehabilitation and development of infrastructure which serves large segments of the fraternal Yemeni people.

The statement added that the Sheikh Khalifa City for flood victims is part of a series of projects carried out by the foundation to improve living conditions and alleviate the sufferings of the victims of catastrophes and crises in Yemen.

Yemeni officials in Hadramaut confirmed that the project is a landmark in the march of development and reconstruction in Yemen.
