Ramallah - Arab Today
Palestinian Liberation Organization Secretary General Saeb Erekat called on the international community to intervene to end the Israeli occupation of Al Quds and the rest of Palestinian territories.
Erekat blamed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel's mini-cabinet for security and political affairs for the new crimes committed against the Palestinians.
Palestine will present reports over the Israeli crimes to the related international institutions to protect the Palestinians, he said.
Erekat's statements came after decisions taken by the Israeli cabinet Thursday approving the shooting of Palestinians by the Israeli soldiers in case of any danger.
The cabinet announced a minimum four-year prison sentence to anyone over the age of 18 who is caught throwing lethal objects. Minors and their parents will face lighter jail sentences and fines, Erekat said.
These decisions came two days after the extrajudicial execution of an 18-year-old Palestinian woman and on the same day the killing of a 26-year-old Palestinian, Erekat said.
