Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat denied on Saturday reports that security bodies in Ramallah have arrested an official at his office over spying for Israel charges.

Such reports are false and groundless, Erekat said.

Earlier, some reports claimed that the security authorities arrested an official at Erekat's office who had been spying for Israel for 20 years, adding that he informed Israel of all information and ideas in which the office was preparing during negotiations with Israel.
