Secretary of the executive committee of the Palestine liberation organization Saeb erekat

Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat arrived in Algiers on Sunday on a visit to Algeria to discuss the latest developments in the Palestinian cause with Algerian officials.

The visit comes in response to an invitation by Algerian foreign affairs minister Ramtane Lamamra.

The Palestinian official will hold a symposium at the diplomatic institute on the peace process in the Middle East.

Erekat had accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government of working towards building an "apartheid system" in the West Bank, blaming the prime minister for the death of Palestinians.
