The EU envoy to Libya Natalia Apostolova welcomed the decision of the Libyan presidential council to establish temporary security committee.

In press statements Saturday, Apostolova said that this step is considered another important step to implement the Libyan political agreement and the UNSC Resolution 2259, which urges the presidential council to finalize the temporary security conditions in order to attain security in Libya.

All the relevant parties should allow the temporary security committee to undertake its role, without any obstacles, she added.

The EU stands fully ready to help the national accord government, she said.
