Chairman and founder of the National Movement Party Ahmed Shafiq has resigned.

Shafiq, a former presidential candidate in 2012 election, submitted his resignation to the high body of the party on Saturday.

He attributed his resignation to the hard circumstances in which he said he practiced his work which has not allowed him to offer all his expertise to serve the party.
