Security director at Cairo airport Major General Alaa Eddin Ali held an expanded meeting with airport security leaders Tuesday after two fake bombs were detected.
One of the bombs was found near Arrival Hall No. 3, while the other was placed underneath a car of an airport employee.
The meeting focused on security plans applied at the arrival and departure halls of the airport, as well as buildings in the vicinity of the Civil Aviation Ministry, security sources said.
The security leaders also reviewed measures taken to face threats and avoid a repeat of such incidents, the sources added.
