Arab League (AL) Nabil el Arabi

The phenomenon of extremism is the major concern of Arab World, Arab League (AL) Nabil el Arabi said Saturday, adding that Israeli extremists represented the world's latest stronghold of racism.
El Arabi's remarks came Saturday during the inauguration ceremony of a conference, dubbed toward a comprehensive Arab strategy to fight extremism.
The conference is held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, and in coordination with Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Foreign Ministry.
Around 200 Arab intellectuals are participating in the conference.
The AL chief underscored the importance of finding mechanisms and outlining plans capable of defeating terrorism in both near and long terms.
Highlighting the need to protect Arab national's security, he prodded for adopting measures could stem the roots of terrorism, especially Daesh.
