Representative of Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed of Oman, Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Saeed conveyed here on Tuesday greetings of Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed to the GCC leaders or their representatives coupled by best wishes for a successful summit that is able to meet the aspirations of the GCC peoples of progress and stability.
In an arrival statement, he said he is honored to join, along with his accompanying delegation on behalf of Sultan Qaboos, his brothers, leaders of the GCC or their representatives, in the deliberations of the 35th GCC summit.
He pointed out that the current stage has seen many changes that have cast a shadow over the region, however, due to the wisdom of GCC leaders, many of such obstacles have been overcome, and such has given the GCC nationals some assurances and optimism for a brighter future.
He added that the acceleration of events currently taking place on the regional and international arenas "require us to continue to strive to reduce their impact on the achievements made over the past decades and on peace and stability in the region".
He said that the Sultanate of Oman under the leadership of Sultan Qaboos reiterates its support for the blessed march of the Council along with its continuous quest to continue efforts in coordination with the member states for the success of steps designed to develop areas of cooperation and activating the decisions that will achieve the aspirations of the peoples of the region.
