Bomb squads in Aswan on Thursday defused a fake bomb that was planted in a site where a bomb went off on Wednesday.
Wednesday's blast killed a suspected bomb-maker and wounded another who was arrested later.
The two are members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood.
