Families of arrested traders block road to Tunisia's Ras Jedir crossing

Families of Tunisian traders, who were earlier arrested in Libya, blocked a main road leading to the Ras Ajdair crossing between the two countries.

The families prevent Libyan vehicles from crossing the border terminal to demand Tunisian traders held by Libya be released.

Tunisian newspaper Achorouk said that two of the arrested traders were released.

A group of Tunisian traders in the town of Ben Guerdane, on Thursday, called on the Tunisian authorities to prevent Libyan vehicles from entering the country in accordance with the principle reciprocal treatment.

Ras Jedir is considered the main crossing between Tunisia and Libya, through which most passengers and goods pass between the two countries
