Ramallah - MENA
Alleged talks between Hamas and Israel have been attacked by Fatah which sees them "a conspiracy to ruin the Palestinian cause."
The claimed negotiations are meant to establish "an entity or an emirate" for the Islamic group in the Gaza Strip to be separated from the other Palestinian territories.
A Fatah spokesman questioned "the price that Hamas will pay to Israel in exchange for establishing its state in the Gaza Strip."
Fatah had repeatedly warned against "Hamas' direct and indirect negotiations with Israel," said Ahmad Assaf.
He said these talks are held "in collusion with known regional powers."
He asserted that Fatah, other factions and the Palestinian people will never allow "this scheme to occur."
