Jordan's King Abdullah II on Sunday emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination within a holistic approach among all regional and international parties to counter extremism and terrorism which threaten stability of the whole world, Jordan's official news agency (Petra) reported.

In a meeting with Special Presidential Envoy to the US-led anti-Daesh coalition Brett McGurk, the King reviewed ‏latest developments in the war against the terrorist group and the coalition's efforts in this regard.

The meeting was attended by senior Jordanian officials and the US Ambassador in Amman.
