Military hospital

Civil Defence Department (CDD) fire and rescue teams on Saturday put out a fire that broke out at a laboratory at the Prince Rashed Military Hospital in the northern city of Irbid. However, no injuries were reported.
A CDD statement said fire fighters extinguished the blaze, which caused minor damage to the lab, after evacuating patients to other wards after immediately enforcing an emergency plan "to avoid any complications." It said a committee was formed to determine the cause of the fire, adding that initial investigations pointed to an electrical short circuit.
