Fire in Alex tram contained

Civil protection forces Wednesday controlled a fire that broke out in a tram at Victoria station in Alexandria.
Alexandria police and firefighters immediately rushed to the scene and put out the blaze, the Alexandria security directorate said in a statement.
The initial examination showed that the fire was due to a short circuit, the statement added.
The fire damaged four seats and a window of the tram, the statement read.
The necessary legal procedures were taken.
