Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held a meeting on Wednesday with Jibril Rajoub, a member of Fatah Central Committee. 

The meeting tackled the latest developments in the Palestinian territories and efforts exerted to revive peace talks, said spokesman for Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid.

Rajoub stressed the importance of the role played by Egypt in support of the Palestinian cause.

Egypt has an important role in healing the Palestinian rift and achieve intra-Palestinian reconciliation.
