Egypt's Foreign Ministry

Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs and Egyptians Abroad Amr Moawad urged Egyptians traveling to Saudi Arabia to perform Umra and Hajj to follow a number of instructions and important tips.

In statements Thursday, Moawad warned Egyptian pilgrims of carrying any kind of pills or narcotic substances, even if they are used for treatment and the holder have medical prescription

Moawad further also warned Egyptian pilgrims not to take with them large quantities of regular medicines in a manner which raises doubt that they could be used in trading.

He also advised Egyptian pilgrims not to take any wrapped bags or items, without making sure of their contents.
