Former arab league official Saeed Kamal

Ambassador Saeed Kamal, the former assistant secretary-general of the Arab League, said Thursday that Saudi Arabia and Egypt play a key role in Arab arena.

Interviewed by Nile Live, Kamal accused Turkey of supporting terrorist organizations in the Middle East, especially in Syria.

The fall of the Muslim Brotherhood regime in Egypt was behind Turkey's drift towards supporting international terrorism, he added.

Separately, the former diplomat described former Palestinian premier Salam Fayad's visit to the Gaza Strip on Wednesday as an important step on the road to Palestinian reconciliation.
