Minister of Trade and Industry Tareq Qabil said Tuesday France is a strategic and economic partner of Egypt.

He quoted the distinguished economic and trade exchange levels that caused France to be the third trade partner of Egypt in Europe, with a trade exchange volume hitting 2.6 billion in 2014.

The minister was speaking at a joint conference with a French business delegation currently visiting Cairo.

The Egyptian government is keen on boosting trade relations binding the two countries, concluded the minister.
