National and Islamic powers in the Gaza Strip have called on the Arab League and world community to intervene to save the Yarmouk refugee camp in southern Damascus from attacks by armed groups.
The Gazan factions urged militants to withdraw from the camp and not to drag the Palestinian people into the ongoing conflict in Syria.
The Daesh terrorist organization has been controlling swaths of Yarmouk since it attacked the camp on Wednesday.
The camp is suffering a sharp shortage in food and medicine due to the siege imposed on it for quite a while now.
