Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdul Latif bin Rashid al Zayani strongly condemned Sunday's terror acts that killed a number of Egyptian security personnel in North Sinai.

Such crimes contradict with all ethical and human values, he said in a statement on Monday.

The GCC stands by Egypt in its fight against terrorism, he added, offering his condolences to the victims' families and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
