Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdul Latif bin Rashid al Zayani received on Wednesday Yemeni Vice-President Khaled Bahah.

The meeting took up the latest developments in the war-torn Yemen, and the international humanitarian efforts on the ground.

They also discussed a UN Security Council resolution imposing an arms embargo on the Houthi militant group.

The Security Council resolution, passed earlier on Tuesday, also calls on the Houthis to withdraw from areas they have seized.
