The standing committee of the voluntary work of the GCC red crescent societies and bodies held first meeting here today at the headquarters of the GCC Secretariat General. 
The committee discussed the development of policies, regulations and guidelines governing joint voluntary work as well as creating a shared database for voluntary work among the GCC red crescent societies and bodies. 
It also discussed the joint programs to boost and support the concept of voluntary work in addition to the preparation of procedures and mechanisms for annual award for voluntary work.
