Cairo - Arab Today
The General Secretariat of the House of Representatives asserted on Monday that it had received on Sunday a resignation letter from MP Serry Siyam.
The letter, in a closed envelope, was directly referred to Speaker Adel Abdel Aal without getting any information about the reasons behind the resignation.
Siyam, a former chief of the Supreme Justice Council, was among the appointed MPs. The new Egyptian Constitution allows the state President to appoint not more than five percent of the MPs.
