Gharbiya Security Chief Ossama Bedir dismissed reports claiming protests were held by members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood on Friday in Gharbiya.
The senior police official urged media to verify stories.
"No rallies were seen in the Nile Delta governorate on Friday," he said.
