Gharbiya security chief Osama Bedir denied Friday news reports that Mahalla police station was stormed and 15 prisoners managed to escape.
Reports are completely false and groundless, Bedir said, adding that that all police stations in the province and Tanta prison are completely secured.
He urged media outlets to be more accurate in their coverage.
