Bracing for Mawlid al-Nabawi and Christmas celebrations in the first week of January, the governorate of Giza has taken measures to secure vital facilities and places of worship.
Giza governor Ali Abdel Rahman said fixed and mobile patrols will be deployed in the city.
Heads of municipalities will make sure that all streets leading to mosques and churches are clean and that lamp posts are not idle.
