Bahraini MP Ruwa al-Hayki

MP Ruwa Al-Hayki said the Government Action Plan (GAP) was a comprehensive ambitious programme in its initial vision, pointing out that the blueprint is an advanced step forward.
During the symposium themed "Government Action Plan.. Strategic Step" organised by the Bahraini Society for Strategic Planning, Al-Hayki said that the Government Action Plan presented to the Council of Representatives for studying and endorsement thereof, needs cooperation from the monitoring and executive branches to work together on developing this programme so as to achieve its developmental objectives.
Dubai-based Academician and Advisor Dr. Osama Al-Ali pointed out the impact of the Government Action Plan on the dynamics of state work and its offering models of other governments action plans and said that it must emanate from citizen's needs.
The Chairman of Bahrain Economists Society Dr. Jaffar Al-Saegh stressed that economic success depend on management of the economy and that it is important that the Government programme should take into consideration economic upheavals.
Journalist writer Ghassan Al-Shehabi said that the public has the right to know everything about the programme, pointing out that the ceiling of powers allowed to the media and the level of professionalism required in media workers and the capacity to analyse the GAP for the public readership.
Bahrain Strategic Planning Society's Chairwoman Dr. Hala Sulaibeekh stressed that the symposium was the first organized by the society this year, adding that its main objective lies in supporting the GAP as a progressive step in Bahrain and shedding light on various aspects of the programme and its importance, pointing out the lecturers posed many questions surrounding the programme in a bid to explain the programmes significance in achieving citizens ambitions in sustainable development. She pointed out that the GAP should be backed and supported by all civil society organisations in line with the reform project of His Majesty the King. She added that the society strives to convey the strategic dimension of the government action plan to the various components of the community.
The attendees praised the symposium's shedding light on the GAP and also praised the lecturers rich diversity of views and discussion of many examples of governmental action plans from countries around the world. She said that the symposium has opened vaster vistas for the audience to comprehend the GAP, praising the Society's role represented by its chairwoman Dr. Hala Sulaibeekh for her initiative of considering the government action plan as one of Society's priority activities, and they called other societies and civil society organisations to follow suit.
