The head of the Republican People's Party said on Saturday that the new governor reshuffle was a step to empower youths in the era of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
"The new appointments of governors confirm that enabling youths to take part in running the country is part of the president's strategy and platform," Hazem Omar said in statements.
He added that appointing three women as deputy governors was a sign of the president's keenness to represent the women in the leading positions.
