A guard was killed and two other soldiers were wounded on Friday in five terrorist attacks on police installations in Fayyoum governorate.
The attacks varied to include explosions and shooting.
A security source said the funeral of the slain guard will be held following the Friday prayers.
Efforts are underway to arrest the perpetrators of the attack and bring them to trial as soon as possible.
The public prosecution was notified to launch a probe.
