The 136th session of the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) kicks off Tuesday in Riyadh.
The session is headed by Qatari Foreign Minister Khalid bin Mohamed al Attiyah, with the participation of GCC Secretary General Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani.
The GCC FMs discuss recent regional and international developments, especially in Yemen, Syria, Libya and Palestine, along with international counter-terrorism efforts
The meeting also deals with topics related to the council's joint action and recommendations adopted by the Ministerial Committees on issues related to strengthening cooperation and integration among the GCC countries as well as measures taken to implement resolutions of the supreme and ministerial councils.
The GCC Foreign Ministers will also study topics that will be discussed by the GCC states with countries and international groups during the meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York.
