Two people, including a navy officer, were wounded Friday when terrorist militants opened fire on them in front of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
The terrorists used the roof of a house to attack the police and army forces, leaving an officer and one of the passers-by injured, said a security source.
The injured were moved to hospitals for treatment and the scene was cordoned off to arrest the culprits.
