Jeddah - MENA
Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi thanked on Tuesday Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud for his supportive stance towards Yemen.
During his participation in the Islamic Conference Organization meeting on the situation in Yemen, Hadi thanked the leaders of member states for their solidarity with the Yemeni people.
He further greeted the Arab and Islamic peoples on the advent of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
Hadi talked about the latest developments in Yemen, shedding light on the plots of the Houthi group to undermine security and stability in the country, the region and the whole world.
He expressed his hope that the Houthi group would abide by decisions of the UN Security Council (UNSC) to protect Yemen from the scourge of wars and conflicts.
Hadi expressed his determination to solve the Yemeni crisis depending on the Gulf initiatives, outcomes of the national dialogue conference, Riyadh conference and UNSC resolutions.
He further reiterated his support for international efforts exerted by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to put the UNSC's 2216 resolution into effect.
