The appointment of former Libyan general Khalifa Haftar as the army commander of the country's internationally recognized government will end controversy about the Libyan army and Operation Dignity, an army official said.
Haftar is now in an official position to unify the Libyan army under one leadership and end controversy about the legitimacy of Operation Dignity, Spokesman for the Chief of Staff Ahmed al Mosmary said.
