Fatah Central Committee member Mohamed Ishtiah on Thursday called on Hamas to take part in the upcoming session of Palestinian National Council (PNC) planned to be held in mid September.

Ishtiah made the remarks during a meeting with Italian Consul Luigi Mattirolo.

The next session is expected revive the role of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), he said.

The Palestinian official urged a unified European stance on the two-state solution.
