Head of the Evangelical denomination in Egypt Dr Andrei Zaki left Cairo on Sunday for Berlin to attend a four-day Islamic forum to kick off Wednesday.

In statements before leaving, Zaki said the forum will address threats by political Islam from a Mideast preservative and the difference between Islam as a religion respected by all people and political Islam groups that use religion as a tool to govern.

He added that he will talk in the forum on the importance of renewing religious discourse as called for by President Abdel Fatah El Sisi to address threats posed by these groups.
