Eleven people were killed in road and drowning accidents across Egypt on Monday, the Health Ministry said. 

Nine people drowned in Alexandria, the Red Sea, Sohag, Dakahlia and Gharbiya governorates while three others were admitted to hospitals, the ministry spokesman said.

He added that 17 road accidents in 12 governorates claimed the lives of two people and injured 84 others.
