Heavy security deployment was witnessed in all Sharqiya cities to counter any riots by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group during the anniversary of the breakup of Rabaa and Nahda sit-in camps.
Security bodies in the governorate were put on high alert to protect citizens and public and private property and face any violence during the planned protests, a security source said.
Mobile and fixed roadblocks were set up in the entrances and exits of the governorate.
