Heliopolis Association will launch on August 3 celebrations crowning the association's campaign to spread awareness about the importance of the new Suez Canal in buttressing the Egyptian economy and securing jobs.

The association's secretary general, Nabil Helmy, said the three-day celebrations coincide with the inauguration of the new Suez Canal, slated for August 6.

He said the mammoth project reflects the spirit of the June 30 revolution with people adamant to realize development to bring Egypt to the ranks of developed states.
