Beirut - MENA
The Lebanese Future Bloc criticized Hezbollah on Tuesday over plans to form "sectarian militias" in the Bekaa similar to Iraq’s Shiite Popular Mobilization groups.
In a statement, the bloc accused the Shiite armed group of copying the Iranian scenario and embracing the symbols of "crimes, smuggling and drug dealing," in the Bekaa.
The statement described any possible response to the Hezbollah's call as a shame for Bekaa's families and clans which are known as advocates of pan-Arabism.
The bloc urged the group to distill lessons from what it called "blatant interference" in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Lebanon.
