Egypt's Ambassador to Germany Badr Abdel Aati said Monday the voter turnout of the runoff round of second stage of the parliamentary elections is four times higher than that of the first phase.

The Egyptian embassy in Berlin and consulates in Frankfurt and Hamburg continue to receive Egyptian expatriates to cast their votes, the ambassador added.

Abdel Aati said that all necessary measures were taken to hold safe and smooth parliamentary elections.

The second phase includes 13 governorates of Cairo, Qalioubiya, Daqahliya, Menoufiya, Gharbiya, Kafr el Sheikh, Sharqiya, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai and South Sinai.
