Cairo - MENA
Bomb disposal squads dismantled a highly-explosive bomb planted on the rail tracks in Ain Shams district of eastern Cairo before a train coming from Suez drove by.
Director of the transport police el Sayed Gad el Haq told MENA security forces had found the bomb during a periodic search on the train tracks.
They immediately notified bomb experts, who dismantled it with a projected water disruptor, he said.
The forces are combing the tracks to make sure the area is clear from other explosives, he added.
