Baghdad - Arab Today
At least 11 newborn babies were killed in a fire at a hospital in the capital Baghdad on Wednesday, the Iraqi Health Ministry said.
The blaze broke out overnight inside the maternity department at the Yarmouk hospital, in the west of the city.
Twenty-nine women and seven children suffered burns and smoke inhalation and were transferred to another hospital for treatment.
The ministry said the fire was probably caused by an electrical fault.
